Gross Motor Development

Roll a ball back and forth.

Provide low, stable toys and furniture for your child to pull up on and cruise along.

Use pop-up tunnels or large boxes for crawling through and exploring.

Provide a toy that gives your child an opportunity for riding, pushing and pulling.
Fine Motor Development

Use textured bright colored books to encourage pointing with the index finger and turning pages.

Encourage stacking using soft blocks or empty boxes and containers.

Encourage a two-finger pinch using small cereal or bite size pieces of food.

Practice making marks on paper using crayons or markers,
