Matthew 5:16

The Good News: Sometimes, helping others is as simple as living an honest and faithful life. By living thoughtfully and honoring God with your words and actions, you can inspire someone to help themselves by doing the same.

Deuteronomy 15:11

"Poor persons will never disappear from the earth. That’s why I’m giving you this command: you must open your hand generously to your fellow Israelites, to the needy among you, and to the poor who live with you in your land."
The Good News: There will always be someone in need. As a person of faith, you have an obligation to God to help the people in your community who need a hand.

Proverbs 11:25

"Generous persons will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."
The Good News: Knowing that you've been able to help someone is its own reward. But as this verse notes, being generous and openhearted means God will also see to it that you are rewarded.
